Activities – Things to Do

The area has plenty to offer, dotted with secluded little coves, golf, fishing, diving, walking, cycling, public tennis court, children’s playground, boat trips, horse riding and traditional music sessions all available nearby. A great destination for singles, couples and families. These properties are an ideal base for touring West Cork towns and villages.

Sheep’s Head, having won the Eden Award as a “European destination of excellence” is the ideal place to take a walking holiday. It offers a huge variety of terrain with breathtaking views; many long and short loop walks are available. The area is rich in heritage and prehistoric sites. Within 15 minutes walk of the property you will find ancient holly wells, ring forts, standing stones & famine burials. The peninsula also offers excellent touring by car. Have a pint in one of the local pubs! Or just enjoy the peace and tranquillity in this stunning location.

Kilcrohane is the most westerly village on the Sheep’s Head peninsula and is reached by a coastal drive along Dunmanus Bay. It is a pretty village with two pubs, a shop, a post office, restaurants, school & a church.
